Despite the rain our Open Day exceeds expectations.
This report was kindly provided by Gary Preston, Gents’ Captain. “Despite the poor weather we had a very successful public open day on Saturday 9th May. During the morning we had a dozen or so members of the public try out our sport of bowls. Helped by a very large and enthusiastic group of members who were happy to give up their time to help the club to recruit new members. There were lots of bowls and... ...shoe sizes available. The Manor House Challenge proves bowling is the best of sports.
This report was kindly provided by Lynn Devall, our Sponsorship Co-ordinator. “The Manor House Challenge is now in its fourth year and we are extremely grateful to Anchor for their continued, generous support which enables us all to enjoy a wonderful day. The sun shone and all those taking part enjoyed a 'challenging' and fun afternoon." There was an excellent turn out and we had 12 teams of four players playing on 6 rinks bowling 2-woods each with four ends per game. The
