This report was kindly provided by Lynn Devall, our Sponsorship Co-ordinator.

“The Manor House Challenge is now in its fourth year and we are extremely grateful to Anchor for their continued, generous support which enables us all to enjoy a wonderful day. The sun shone and all those taking part enjoyed a 'challenging' and fun afternoon."

There was an excellent turn out and we had 12 teams of four players playing on 6 rinks bowling 2-woods each with four ends per game. The first session consisted of three games; there was then a break for a delicious cream tea which was followed by a second session of two games and a final.

Over 2000 woods will be bowled during the afternoon...

...with it's ups and downs - but enjoyment guaranteed.

If in doubt measure it.

A great sport and great sports.

Good luck everyone.

The first wood is launched.

It's the next end and the jack is good.

Unfortunately, the sun isn't always your friend.

But it's OK going the other way.

The final end of the final.

It's over. The skips shake hands.

Congratulations to Norman, Susie. Dot and Derek who were worthy winners. And commiserations to the runners up.

Rachel Dodd-Smith, Care Marketing Manager from Anchor presented the winners with their prizes.

...and the bar was open for “liquid” refreshments.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this a special day once again for us all.

Best wishes,

Lynn
