HOSE PIPE BAN
Yorkshire Water has confirmed that our green can only be watered if there is a health & safety requirement or to water in a recently applied treatment.
Anyone for an occassional group rain dance?
We just need enough to keep the green green!
Addendum:
The dancing is working. Keep it up, everyone.
“A VERY CLASSY GESTURE”
I wanted to make you aware of a very classy gesture by one of your members, Mark Peatman.
Mark and I played in the Yorkshire Men’s Singles earlier this year and I was fortunate to end up winning that tie. He was a perfect gentleman before, during and after that game so I perhaps shouldn't have been surprised to find a good luck message from him on my phone before the final on Sunday. I'm not sure I remember an opponent doing that, and I thought it said a lot about Mark and reflected excellently on Harrogate BC.
A further well done to your club for a strong showing at the Men’s Finals Day, to come away with the trophies you did is testament to the growing strength of Harrogate BC. I'm sure other trophies will follow.

ACCESS VIA VALLEY GARDENS HAS BEEN RESTORED
This allows members of the public to wander in and enjoy watching the bowling, and also enables Club members to come and go via Valley Gardens if they wish.
Members are asked to unlock and lock up the Valley Gardens gate in the same way that they unlock and lock up the main side gate with the chain and padlock (it’s the same padlock key).

Congratulations to our three Harrogate teams.
"On the evening of Sunday 13th July the men continued their journey to regain the Marshall Shield trophy which we last won in 2023. We played York Railway at home in the quarter final and the support we received was fantastic and helped us win by 17 shots over the 3 rinks. The final score was 66 shots to 49."
