"A very hot July afternoon saw some very good bowling on our green, which looked amazing.

ree

We played 6 rinks of triples and even provided a player for the Patrons.

ree

Perfect conditions.

This looks like it could do some damage..

ree

Half way and it's promising for the Patrons but too early to call...

ree

Put one between the jack and the black wood!

ree

Low and smooth.

ree

We need one around about here.

ree

Be careful, we're holding five.

ree

ree

Two people are needed to measure this one.

ree

A terrific matches draws to a close.

ree

Unfortunately, we lost the match by 4 rinks to 2 but gained special praise for the condition of the green and for the excellent tea provided by our catering staff, i/c Margaret Speedie and Jan Burdin.

Everyone worked really hard to welcome and look after our visitors from the time they arrived to the time they departed. Stuart Clarke the Secretary of the Patrons congratulated us on the excellent food and his parting words were “We’ll be back”.

Sincere thanks to the players, helpers and supporters who made this event such a success."

Note: The Yorkshire Patrons play mixed friendly matches throughout the County. Playing for the Patrons is a great way of meeting old friends and making new ones. If you are interested in becoming a Patron phone 01377 for more information.
