Our new season's bowling was due to start at 10.30 a.m. today, the 22nd April. Unfortunately, bad weather deterred members from playing in the morning but things had improved a lot by midday. The first wood of the season was bowled enthusiastically at 13.43 p.m.
We were on our way. Or were we? Our Ladies' Captain tries to stand proudly next to the results of the first end.
But it was only the first end. The rinks were occupied by enthusiastic bowlers determined to play their best. And when the session drew to a close at about 4.00 p.m. everyone felt it had been very worthwhile. The new season has begun.
